OWASSO, Okla. — A police lieutenant in Owasso has been fired after allegation he used excessive force during an arrest. The Tulsa World reports that 46-year-old Michael Denton was fired after an investigation into the arrest, which occurred during the summer. The complaint against the 17-year veteran was lodged by a subordinate, Officer Jonathan Foyil. Tulsa World reports police arrested a Tulsa man Thursday for his involvement in a duplex fire that killed a toddler. Authorities say the fire may be meth related. Jacob Ancen Bell, 35, was booked into the Tulsa Jail with $62,500 bail on two complaints of child endangerment and three drug-related complaints after investigators found meth lab components in the duplex, records show.
