UPCOMING EVENTS
Jan. 10-31: Registration is under way through Jan. 31 for the Manatee County Parks and Recreation Department 2012 Spring Youth Basketball Leagues. Children ages 5-17 are invited to play. The recreational program teaches the importance of fundamentals and teamwork. There will be a three-week camp beginning Feb. 6. Practices are tentatively scheduled to begin March 5, and games will begin March 17. The registration fee is $65 per child and includes a team jersey. Register at the GT Bray Park Recreation Center, 5502 33rd Ave. Drive W., Bradenton. There also will be off-site registration from 10 am-2 pm Jan. 14 and 21 at Dick#x2019;s Sporting Goods, 4108 14th St. W., Bradenton.
