Racetrack with gaming to open near Youngstown in 2014
The company planning to build a new horse racing track with slots-like gambling in northeast Ohio plans to break ground this fall and open the facility in early 2014. Penn National Gaming Inc. plans to move thoroughbred racing from Beulah Park in suburban Columbus to a new track near Youngstown. Charnwood leisure centres to get £2m boost
Work is to start on a £2m improvement programme for two Leicestershire leisure centres. Charnwood Borough Council has approved plans to carry out work at Loughborough Leisure Centre from mid-June and Soar Valley Leisure Centre from mid-July. Plans include refurbished gyms and reception but officials said disruption would be kept to a minimum.
