St. Bernard Recreation supervisor arrested for theft of parish property
ST. BERNARDPARISH, La. — The investigation into nearly $200,000 in stolen parish property in St. Bernard has now netted five arrests including a former NFL running back and a scrap yard owner. Vista Park is one of two parish playgrounds where metal bleachers, soccer goals and other equipment disappeared. Recreation clubs entitled to lawful activities: HC
MADURAI: The Madurai bench of the Madras high court on Friday said that members of recreation clubs are entitled to carry on lawful activities within their premises and there should not be any interference from the police. Justice K K Sasidharan gave the ruling while allowing a writ petition filed by Mullai Recreation Club seeking to forbear the police from interfering with the rights of the its members who played rummy without betting.

A months-long search thats been beset by confusion and controversy is expected to end next week as a panel of community and government leaders moves to appoint a director to lead the effort to reform New Orleans recreation programs. The final step could come Monday after the year-old New Orleans Recreation Development Commission stages a hearing that will afford the public its first chance to hear from the four finalists.
